The participation of Texas credit unions and chapters continue to demonstrate their commitment and support of the Children’s Miracle Network – Credit Unions For Kids program. Through countless creative fundraising efforts and local golf tournaments, Texas Chapters and credit unions raised a total of $1,058,581.31 in 2007!
The relationship that our Texas credit unions and chapters have with Children’s Miracle Network is a special one. It began in 1985 with the Alamo Chapter of Credit Unions working closely with their local CMN Hospital. Shortly thereafter the CMN – Credit Unions For Kids program was launched throughout the state and eventually promoted nationally to all local CMN Children’s Hospitals. Today the programs continue to ignite passion and engage credit union volunteers to become a part of the miracles that help thousands of children. Over the past 11 years, credit unions and chapters collectively have raised nearly $11 million for local hospitals.
The ongoing support for local children’s hospitals is exemplary of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people!”
